Milorad Nikolic is an associate professor in the Department of Classics at Memorial University. He is trained as a mechanical engineer and a classicist. His research interests are ancient technology and engineering, ancient technical literature, Greek and Roman art and architecture, and the Roman frontier. He has published on Greek and Roman technical texts and on ancient water-supply systems. He is the co-editor (with A. N. Sherwood, J. W. Humphrey, and J. P. Oleson) of Greek and Roman Technology: A Sourcebook of Translated Greek and Roman Texts, 2nd ed (Routledge, 2020), co-editor (with J. P. Oleson) of the forthcoming (2026) second edition of the OUP Handbook of Engineering and Technology in the Classical World, and co-editor (with M. Gibbs) of the forthcoming (2026) third edition of OUP’s Themes in Roman Society and Culture.
