Hasskei Majeed is Associate Professor of philosophy at the Department of Philosophy and Classics, University of Ghana, and a Co-Director of the Classics at the Crossroads project. He is also an AHP Fellow of the American Council of Learners Societies. He has published widely on African philosophy and how it compares with other philosophies, both ancient and modern. In his book, Reincarnation, he explores the concept of rebirth from (modern) African and ancient Egyptian, Greek, Indian, Chinese and Incan philosophical perspectives. His journal publications include “From Knowledge to Education: Plato in the Philosophy of Kwasi Agyemang” (Nigeria and the Classics 27: 21-40) and “The Orphic Origins of Belief in Reincarnation in Ancient Greek Philosophy” (Phronimon 14 (1): 119-132).
